Foreword 

 Firstly I'd like to thank Nathan Whitworth  of 'on Kudu' fame and Roger Taylor author of The Simple Sailor who inspired me to write down everything that goes on with my little yacht; from its refurbishment through to whatever happens in the future. If this site entertains you as much as Nathan and Roger's entertained me I'll be very pleased.

 Moreover the purpose of this site is to raise awareness, for my future plans entail the Jester Challenge 2012  to sail solo to the Azores over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, where I will be trying my best to raise as much money as I can for The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital scanner appeal; a charity which is very close to me personally, who helped me when I really needed it, this is a chance for me to give something back which I promised I would do when I had the chance.

I intend on contacting every local newspaper, magazine or media content to raise as much as possible for this cause.
